IRT Melfice: Grandia 1 might be more popular than Grandia 2 because it's only available on PSX outside Japan (Saturn in Japan), while Grandia II lived its best days on the Dreamcast, then it was converted for PS2 but it doesn't look nearly as good as in the Dreamcast due to the PS2 hardware limitations. "Sony=good, popular; Not Sony=bad, unpopular" <- that's how casual gamers work.
